I WON!

I have a friend who ALWAYS wins games. Its unreal how often he wins.

I hate playing games with him, but I went to his house about a month ago and we played hearts with his roommate and roommate girlfriend. They assured me that I would beat him.

[I had never played before.]

I guess I'm a good luck charm, because my friend won!

It was so grumpy:(

So I came home and resolved to learn to play hearts well.

It worked:)

So my roommate was searching for pictures from BYU's production of Peter Pan.

Minus the fact that I don't like rain,

So the other night I had an awesome dream. It wasn't crazy like my usual dreams, but it was fantastic. Read on:)

My roommates and I were volunteering to help Japanese refugees find a place to stay at this big refugee camp we were volunteering at. Tons of Japanese people were being shipped over to the US and we were placing them in rooms for the night. (It was like a big free hotel, and very busy.) It was difficult to help them though because most didn't understand English. Then I came across this particular Japanese man and his family. I had a feeling that maybe he knew Chinese. Our conversation went as follows.

你们说中文吗？

do you all speak chinese?

一点。

a little.

我也说一点中文。

i also speak a little.

谁说日本文？

who speaks japanese?

我的室友说日本文。

my roommate speaks japanese.

你认识不认识...

do you know... (the name he said was japanese.)

对不起，不认识，可是我的室友说日本文。那是她。你和你的家以起去吧。

i'm sorry, i don't. but my roommate speaks japanese. That's her (i was pointing now). You and your family go together.

谢谢。

That was it. I had a whole conversation in Chinese in my dream. It was fantastic:)

I'd like to think I'm an optimist, but recently I've been in a grumpy mood.

I'm not always in a grumpy mood though, so maybe I am optimistic:)

I blame it on the weather. Life is always better when its nice outside.

i knew this was a bad sign...

So I was laying in bed when I felt a weird feeling in my mouth so I reached my hand up and felt that my left K9 tooth was loose. I tried to hold it still in hopes that it would firm up and not be loose. There was no hope... It fell out. HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN?! I was so sad. Whats worse is that I closed my mouth and felt the hole with my tongue, then ran my tongue over my other teeth and there was another loose one on the bottom row. Immediately I jumped up to go find the number of someone who could fix this.

That's when I woke up.

Thankfully, when I looked in the mirror this morning, I had a full set of very firm teeth.

I always heard that dreaming about your teeth falling out is a bad sign. So when I got home this evening, I looked up my condition.

Here are my results.

I have anxiety over my appearance and how others perceive me. Most likely this stems from a fear of rejection or aging.

I am also embarrassed about making a fool of myself and unprepared for my tasks.

I see myself lacking in power and self-confidence; I struggle to get my points across and express myself.

I have a poor diet.

I lack faith in God.

According to the Chinese, I tell a lot of lies.

I need money.

Clearly I have some serious issues that I need to sort out.

My favorite explanation is the one by the Chinese. I love China; they're probably right.

i'm taking this as my wake up call that its time to blog again.

for the record though, i really don't have time right now....

but this will be quick.

The date of my last post was January 3rd. I could use the excuse that I haven't had anything to say, but thats not true... I'VE HAD SO MUCH TO SAY. I simply haven't made the time to keep up, but I refuse to be that girl who quits everything she starts. My roommate told me that I could do something quick to make sure that I have something to post. She told me to try out summing up each day of the month and posting it all at the end like her and her sister do.

I think its a fantastic idea.

Here goes nothing!
